Mobility Resources bolsters upward economic mobility for individuals and families through direct engagement and support, and by providing innovative and cost-effective services for organizations that develop, finance, and operate affordable housing.

The Team

President and Founder

Mindy Rex

Mindy is the Founder and President of Mobility Resources, LLC., a 501(c)3 non-profit created for the purpose of providing leadership, programmatic, and financial innovation around affordable housing and related support services.
Mindy is President and CEO of Pacific Housing Partners where she optimizes capital structures through her strong private and institutional debt and equity relationships and builds strategic partnerships focused on addressing today’s critical lack of affordable, safe, and healthy housing. From 2013 through 2019, she held the role of COO at The Pacific Companies, a vertically integrated family of companies owned by accomplished developer and housing policy strategist, Caleb Roope.
At The Pacific Companies, Mindy led the company’s project management, private capital, and closing/legal/finance teams through a significant expansion in the company’s affordable and market rate housing production. As of January 2020, Mindy continues with The Pacific Companies as EVP of Development and launched MR Partners, LLC so she could broaden her strategic offers to others in the industry with the aim of pushing collaboration and innovation in affordable, workforce, and senior housing.
Prior to 2013, Mindy was a Vice President with Wells Fargo Bank's Community Lending & Investment Division for many years after learning the affordable housing business as a Relationship Manager for NOAH, a non-profit consortium of banks focused on affordable housing. Mindy earned a B.S. in Finance and graduated magna cum laude from Portland State University in 2004.
Executive Director

Maggie Williamson

Maggie has been involved in nonprofit work for over 20 years in arenas of both mental and physical wellbeing. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work.
As a social worker she specialized in supporting minors navigating the child welfare system.

Currently she runs her own business as a Health & Fitness Coach working with clients of all ages and ability levels who desire to improve their health. She is also a published freelance health & fitness writer.
For the past 10 years, she has been on staff at the Treasure Valley YMCA as a fitness and workplace wellness specialist.

Maggie is an ACE Certified Health & Wellness Coach and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer & Fitness Nutrition Specialist. Other held certifications include: Moving for Better Balance, TRX, and Enhance Fitness.

Maggie has a passion for helping others integrate multiple facets of wellness into their everyday lives. She believes in focusing on the mind-body connection and empowering others to implement sustainable, healthy life habits.

Project Manager

Brie Katz

Brie's work centers on building high-performing teams, creating systems that support well-being and upward mobility, and collaboratively solving people-centered problems. She has managed early-stage startup operations and served as an analyst in the mortgage-backed securities industry, as well as coached an NCAA Division I athletic program for over 10 years.
Brie holds a bachelors degree in finance from Hofstra University and a Masters Degree in Health Education from Columbia University in New York City.
Human Resources Manager

Sarah Hess

Sarah is an energetic multi-unit leader and certified human resources professional with experience in multiple facets of human resources, leadership and administration, including project management, process improvement, performance management, training and development, recruitment, succession planning, and employee relations. She is known for her ability to drive results while providing exceptional levels of service and improving employee recruitment, engagement and retention, while having the ability to work successfully in a team environment and communicate effectively and professionally with executive leadership, management and coworkers with integrity and confidentiality.
Director of Education

Gwen Gates

Gwen directs all curriculum design and course development for Mobility Resources. Her focus is creating accessible content and programming that centers upward economic mobility through one-on-one mentorship and engaging virtual modalities.
Gwen is currently an adjunct instructor at University of Illinois - Chicago and University of the Potomac - Chicago Campus whose courses support English language learners to assimilate to and succeed within the U.S. academic environment. She has designed research, curriculum, and assessments through the BYU Department of Linguistics and English Language and has experience as a one-on-one and collaborative instructor in a variety of international educational environments. Additionally, Gwen speaks Korean and Spanish.
